\nHeading 270 degrees at about 7 knots<\/p>\n
We are having a good sailing day. Seas are calmer, but wind nice
\nand strong. Still trying to catch fish.
\nNow that the moon is waxing and is about half full the nights
\nare really beautiful. The moon lights up the horizon and the
\ncockpit of the boat seems illuminated by a strong floodlight
\nuntil the moon sets ( right now it is at about 11:00, but it
\ngets later each night as the moon waxes). When the moon is out
\nyou don’t see many stars, but after it sets they are brilliant
\ntoo. I have the 6:00 P.M. to midnight shift so I have been
\nable to do my night watch without it being really dark at all.
\nLast night I tried to read by moonlight, but it wasn’t strong
\nenough. Maybe at the full moon?
