Sails and rigging:

  • Main, genoa, and mizzen built by QSails (Izmir, Turkey) in 2016. Tri-radial construction, laser cut by Dimension Polyant in Germany using their HydraNet Radial (HNR) sailcloth.
  • Sail details: Foam luff pad for genoa, Spectra webbing reinforcement at clews, soft Spectra genoa clew, stainless steel rings for main and mizzen clews, Dyneema leach lines, Heminway Bartlett UV resistant thread, foot line for genoa, leather reinforcement used at clews, aluminum clam cleats for leech lines and foot line.
  • Sail cloth and weights: HNR 393/343 for main sail, HNR 303/343 for mizzen, HNR 393/HNR 343 combination for genoa.
  • Standing rigging new 2016 using ACMO (France) parts. ACMO provides standing rigging for all new Amel sail boats.  Swaging by ACMO at  French factory.  Installed by Ogemar Spars and Rigging (Izmir, Turkey).
  • Main, mizzen, genoa, and ballooner halyards replaced in 2017 with German-made Gleistein Mega-Twin Dyneema line.

Other sails:

  • Cruising spinnaker (1213 sq. ft.) built by Doyle (Marblehead, Mass.) out of 1.5 ounce nylon, on Selden GX 25 top down furler
  • Nylon ballooner (750 sq. ft.) set on pole (built by Deme Voiles,  Le Pouliguen, France)
  • Mizzen ballooner (nylon) (built by Deme Voiles, Le Pouliguen, France)
  • Blade jib (110 %, 475 sq. ft.) built by Quantum (Thurston), Bristol, Rhode Island

Power:

  • 220V/50 cycle AC power.  24V DC power for house uses (lights, refrigeration, bowthruster, windlass, autopilot, etc.) and 12 volt DC power for instruments and engine start.
  • 175 amp alernator (24V, by Leece-Neville model 8SC3009ZA) and 55 amp (12V) alternator both belted to Yanmar propulsion engine.
  • 12 volt alternator belted to Onan generator.
  • Balmar Max Charge MC-624H charging regulator controlling 175 amp alternator.
  • 100 amp and 30 amp (at 24 volts) Dolphin (France) chargers powered by Onan generator or shore power.
  • House battery bank (24 volt):  Twelve Victron 12 volt deep-cycle AGM batteries (BAT412101080), 110 amp-hours each @ 12V
